Fatal Four-Way No. 1 Contenders Match for the NXT Championship

This one is a little bit more of a throwback to the old NXT days. One of the things that helped NXT become the great product that it is today is that the top guys faced off against each other to earn the right to face the NXT Champion. That’s what should happen at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. Obviously, the big name sticking out here is Adam Cole and with good reason. While Cole is still a free agent a move to NXT almost makes too much sense for it to not happen. The only thing that may keep him out of this match is that NXT likes to debut new stars at TakeOver in a singles matches.

Regardless of what happens with Cole, the NXT Championship picture is crowded enough as it is and the best way to solve that problem long term is a multi-man No. 1 Contender’s match. Whoever wins this match has a good chance to become the next NXT Champion. On top of that, the losers of the match can feud against each other which will keep them out of the title picture for the time being until the NXT Champion is ready to move on to a new feud.
