Worst: Strange Conclusion

The six woman tag team match itself was not bad. Special honors go to Becky Lynch – or should I say, Becky The Bexserian, The Destructor from Ghostbusters. That hair was straight fire.

All that said, the finish was totally incongruous with the match and the story behind it. The biggest story going into the match was whether or not Charlotte Flair and Naomi could co-exist long enough to get through the match. How much did that factor into not only the finish, but the match itself?

At no point did any possible dissension work its way into the match. To be totally honest, there was no real signs of chemistry on the part of The Welcoming Committee, either. It was more like a random six person tag match than any kind of long standing teams.

So as a pretty good match worked its way towards its conclusion, all that happened was a normal finishing sequence for a tag match. Natalya went for the Sharpshooter, Becky reverses into the Dis-Arm-Her. Carmella tried to break it up, Charlotte took her out of the ring, and Tamina knocked out Charlotte and Naomi. Tamina then tried to attack Becky, but Becky caught her, only to end up in the Sharpshooter anyway and tap out.

I understand that Becky turning down an opportunity to join The Welcoming Committee was also a part of this story. But the bigger focus was on Charlotte and Naomi. Why not work that into the storytelling in the match at all?
