Randy Orton Drops WWE Star on Head, Immediately Cringes (Video)
Randy Orton dropping one of the Singh Brothers on his head and feeling bad about it, made for one of the comedic moments at WWE Backlash.
Randy Orton’s night didn’t go as planned, in storyline. He walked in as WWE Champion, having yet to defend the belt after winning it from Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 33. However, Orton left WWE Backlash without the belt in hand, losing it to Jinder Mahal in the main event of the evening.
The Viper dealt with a three-on-one assault from Mahal and the Singh Brothers for most of the match’s second part. This included attacks at ringside and the trademark DDT in the squared circle.
During the action, Orton got fed up with the Singh Brothers. So when they were by the announce tables, he tossed them around like rag dolls. One move on Samir Singh looked cringeworthy, though, as Orton dropped him on his head on the booth. The future WWE Hall of Famer immediately felt bad, as he walked away from it, making a face that expresses everything just seen:
A closer look can be seen below, with Orton’s face telling of what just happened:

Remember, Orton is a much bigger guy than Singh, probably one of the reasons for the latter originally being part of the Cruiserweight division. He’s a small guy that would easily get brutalized by one of WWE’s heavyweights, as seen here.
Shortly after, we had the history-making moment of Mahal becoming the WWE Champion. Orton put him over, closing out the show with a celebration that will last into Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live.
As for the Apex Predator, he’ll likely get a rematch. There’s the Money in the Bank pay-per-view approaching, which takes place on Sunday, Jun. 18. Could he and Mahal headline in a Ladder Match?

If this bout happens, let’s hope Orton doesn’t drop the Singh Brothers on their heads again. A brutal-looking moment that could have been worse.
