Jinder Mahal is WWE Champion and he will be defending his title at Money in the Bank. Coming off what is undoubtedly the biggest win of his career, the Maharaja is riding a huge wave of momentum. That being said with the big prize comes with a big target.
As some of you may recall, following the Superstar Shake Up Rusev said he would not show up to SmackDown Live without a championship match. Whatever Rusev has to do to get that title opportunity, I think he gets it down. And who better to face for that WWE Championship than his former tag partner. Mahal and Rusev has a forgettable run as tag partners but the last time we saw Rusev in a WWE ring was the day that they split up at WWE Fastlane. With the heat Mahal has as champion and Rusev being one of the most beloved wrestlers in WWE it makes too much sense for it not to happen.
