Nia Jax Throws Shade at WWE Raw After Women’s MITB Announcement

After the women’s Money in the Bank announcement, Nia Jax didn’t hold back her criticism on Twitter.

Nia Jax has played a role in the WWE Raw Women’s Division since arriving in the 2016 Draft. She hasn’t won a title, but competed for one at WrestleMania 33, losing in a fatal four-way match to Bayley.

Since this show, Jax’s role on Raw has diminished, potentially due to the focus being on Bayley and Alexa Bliss battling for the Raw Women’s Championship. Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox are even in a rivalry that will head to Extreme Rules.

On Tuesday night’s SmackDown Live, WWE announced the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Jax praised this on Twitter, but also wondered why Raw isn’t using its “entire women” like the Blue Brand. It should be noted the only active member of the SmackDown Women’s Division not in this match is Naomi; Lana has been featured in vignettes, but hasn’t debuted.

Jax’s words hold water. Raw usually doesn’t feature its entire women’s division, with an exception being after Bliss’ Extreme Rules win. Other than that, it’s been inconsistent spots for Mickie James, Dana Brooke, Fox and even Banks at times. This comes on a three-hour show, too, while SmackDown Live has one less hour to work with.

While one tweet won’t solve everything, let’s see if anything changes after Sunday’s Extreme Rules PPV. That may not mean something happens overnight, but maybe WWE looks to featuring all of Raw’s women on at least one show in early June. That can be a feud developing with the Raw Women’s Championship, along with some combination of Banks, James, Brooke and Jax working together in tag matches or promo segments. That may not mean everyone gets their own feud, but if it gives everyone a spotlight, then it could work.
