The New Day is Here

Last week, the Usos were able to continue their reign as SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions. By defeating the duo known as Breezango for a second consecutive time, they’ve likely removed the team out of title contention. Due to this, it won’t be long before for the champions begin to long for a worthy challenge. Thankfully, there is a widely popular trio which is willing to go the distance with them.

Since being drafted to SmackDown Live during the Superstar Shake-Up, the New Day hasn’t done much of note. They haven’t officially competed on the brand yet, but have participated in Talking Smack and several other interviews. Obviously excited about this chance to excel, all three men are ready to make an impact. Interrupting the Usos would be a great way to do so, and it’d promote the tag division in the process.

Most likely, this is a match that the company needs to save for Money in the Bank. Both teams are popular with the WWE Universe, and so a match between them is very appealing. The last time these two teams took part in a match against one another was Survivor Series, and even then there were a number of other teams involved. Now that they’re part of the same show, the time has finally come for them to have their own program.

As for who would win a tag title match between them, it can be argued that both teams deserve to win. Personally, I believe that the New Day are going to emerge victoriously. For now, though, it doesn’t matter so much who wins, but what the company has for them in the long-term. If the Usos are the way to go, they need to have a team to face following their program with New Day. This is equally true for Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods.
