1. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre is the one talent that got away from WWE. The Chosen One fell short in his WWE stint, but was successful outside of the company afterward. McIntyre’s resigning with WWE was big news at NXT TakeOver: Orlando and gave fans hope that the second time around will be much better.

Since arriving in NXT, the Scotsman has been biding his time. He’s defeated the likes of Oney Lorcan and Wesley Blake, and may just be waiting for an opportunity, whenever it arrives in the NXT Championship scene. Could that be sooner than later?

McIntyre and Roode have crossed paths before during their time in TNA. So they are already familiar with each other which helps them should they meet in the ring again. He is my top pick to go over on Roode – he fits the bill in terms of talent and marketability. McIntyre has certainly improved during his time away from the company and it’s a matter of time before he gets the chance he rightfully deserves.
