Kendo Stick-on-a-Pole Match for the Raw Women’s Championship
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley

Result: Alexa Bliss defeats Bayley via pinfall to retain the Raw Women’s Championship.

Rating: 1.75 out of 5 stars

This crowd loved Alexa Bliss and even booed Bayley in her interview from earlier. This ever happening seemed ludicrous about 12 months ago. Now, it’s not so crazy since WWE has done little to make Bayley a strong competitor in her 10 months on the main roster.

Anything being on a pole, for a match, doesn’t sound appealing. They hardly result in good matches, since it’s about defying logic. However, Bayley quickly pulled the kendo stick down, but no one used it yet.

This match didn’t last long, maybe nine or 10 minutes. Bayley never capitalized on opportunities given to her and lost this match clean. It potentially takes her out of the Raw Women’s Championship equation, and brings Sasha Banks into the mix.

Bayley’s run in the title picture was disappointing from the moment she won the belt in February. WWE didn’t give her the moment at a PPV, instead doing it on a random episode of Raw. The crowd even turned on her, with the boos at tonight’s show. A fary cry from the reaction she received at Battleground 2016.

As for Bliss, as noted, expect Banks to come her way. The title scene needs something to freshen it up.
