Maryse Bear-ly Tops The Festival of Friendship
(no, not really, I just couldn’t resist a bear pun)
I don’t care what anyone says, this segment was fantastic. The Miz is, without a doubt, cementing a Hall of Fame career right now. Even discounting his championship accolades, his knowledge of how the wrestling business should work in terms of non-match segments is second to none right now.

I’ll admit, as soon as I saw the dancing bear I figured it was Ambrose. Not going to lie, that’s just how these segments work. I figured everything would go off without a hitch, and at the very end, Maryse would have Miz pose with the bear for a picture and BOOM – Dirty Deeds.
But the way it played out was even better. Miz has watched enough WWE to react to what he sees (hey, didn’t we talk about this before? When Kurt Angle trashed part of last week’s show?), and he attacks the bear – whoops, it’s a
local independent wrestler
kid trying to earn money as a mascot.
He wasn't the #MizBear...

He wasn't in the giant box...
Where oh where could @TheDeanAmbrose be?!? @mikethemiz #RAW pic.twitter.com/Qzs6GcyR4P
Okay, no harm, no foul, right? Here comes a giant gift box – something Ambrose has already hidden in and popped out of in the past. So, of course, Miz attacks it, making Maryse cry because it’s a legit gift.
And, poor Miz, he just knew Ambrose was going to find a way to get to him, but he didn’t pay attention to the cameraman. So the moral of the story, kids: Acknowledge your production crew, because they make the magic happen for you – and they might beat you up if you ignore them.
