Raw Women’s Championship Match

Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax

Result: Alexa Bliss defeats Nia Jax via disqualification

Rating: 1.5 out of 5 stars

Before the match, Alexa gets a third backstage segment to complain. It’s like they’re actively trying to get the crowd to dislike her simply because she’s so much better than the rest of the division.

When the match gets under way, it’s yet another short match because wrestling programs don’t have much wrestling on them anymore, I guess. Almost immediately, Dana Brooke and Mickie James keep their word and come to ringside, so you know shenanigans will ensue.

And of course, they do. Alexa has no game plan for Jax, so she’s getting whooped. Bliss takes a tumble to the outside and gets cornered by Brooke and James. Because they’re more concerned with making Alexa’s life miserable than a fair fight, Bliss can entice them into attacking her, ending the match via DQ.

Understandably, Nia is mad, and she makes short work out of the meddlers. Meanwhile, Alexa lives to fight another day, and we wonder why this needed literally four segments of the show tonight.

Paul Heyman With The Trainer

I believe Lesnar called Paul Heyman back. I don’t think Lesnar watches Raw on a regular basis – he sure doesn’t show up on a regular basis. Heyman called him when he regained consciousness, and left a voicemail, so Brock called back here.

Anyway, Heyman says “We should unleash the beast” next week, so Brock will be on next week. Hey, that should be good for a little ratings boost, right?
