Elias Samson vs. Dean Ambrose

Result: No contest

Rating: N/A

I’ll be totally honest here, I’m a little bummed that this match didn’t happen. When Samson made his debut a few weeks back, the match against Ambrose was pretty good. A second helping of that would be nice.

But at least we were treated to a memorable musical performance by The Drifter. We’re getting to the point where we’re going to need a new term for the reaction he gets. Nuclear heat, even “X-Pac heat,” not strong enough a descriptor. Maybe Hobo Heat? I’m willing to take requests here, leave yours in the comments.

One man who doesn’t appreciate music is Dean Ambrose, who’s in a foul mood from Extreme Rules. He employs literally the exact same sneak attack as Roman Reigns did to start the show. That can only mean one thing – Shield reunion incoming.

After Ambrose takes care of Samson, he demands a rematch with Miz, who appears on the big screen. We learn of the Intercontinental Championship Comeback Tour Celebration later tonight, and a distracted Ambrose gets attacked by Samson.

Backstage, Angle tells Ambrose to hit the bricks tonight, trying to avoid a confrontation. Ambrose eventually relents, appreciating that Angle doesn’t want to have to deal with Maryse.
