10. The Gobbledy Gooker

You know your wrestling/stage name is bad when WrestleCrap names a negative award after you. That’s exactly what happened to the giant anthropomorphic turkey that Hector Guerrero was forced to play.

After months of hype, the Gobbledy Gooker ‘hatched’ at Survivor Series 1990, and was booed the moment poor Gene Okerlund had to interview the thing. The gimmick was bad enough, but it was worsened by a name that’s based on a word that has synonyms like: garbage, hogwash and nonsense.

This was easily the worst thing in wrestling in 1990, without a doubt. Fans hated this character from the very beginning, and made their voices heard. The response was so overwhelming that WWE had no choice but to axe the gimmick after only a few weeks.

WWE could’ve done something special with this egg. Instead, they gave Hector Guerrero an awful ring name and worse gimmick and expected people to laugh at the weird things that Vince McMahon finds funny.

Incidentally, Survivor Series 1990 ended up being historic for another reason, as it marked the debut of the Undertaker.
