20. Braden Walker
Former TNA wrestler Chris Harris was given the most vanilla of Anglo-Saxon wrestling names possible when he came to WWE. As if that wasn’t enough, he was given one of the worst gimmicks/catchphrases imaginable:
“Knock, knock”.
“Who’s there?”
“Braden Walker and I’m gonna knock your brains out!”
This name and gimmick killed Harris’ WWE career in only a few short months. In fact, this name became an internet joke, and when he returned to TNA, fans chanted the above catchphrase throughout his matches.
It was an awful name combined with an even worse catchphrase. Thankfully, Harris returned to wrestling under his old name and managed to enjoy some mild success on the independent scene afterward.
That said, his relevance on the wrestling scene seems to have dwindled following that short spell in WWE. Clearly, WWE didn’t know how to use him, and their lack of creativity in naming him and giving him a proper gimmick caused him considerable harm.
