WWE Rumors: Braun Strowman Cleared to Return from Injury

Braun Strowman was out with an elbow injury for the past month, but will be back on WWE TV screens soon.

Braun Strowman tore through Raw after WrestleMania 33. He defeated Roman Reigns clean at WWE Payback, pushed down ambulances and looked like a wrecking ball for most of the spring. However, that stalled when Strowman went down with an elbow injury, taking him out of May’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

Well, the Monster Among Men is set to return to WWE programming soon. PW Insider reported him being cleared to return from injury “a week ago.” He’ll be back when WWE creates a storyline for him. This comes after WWE said Strowman’s timetable would be about six months.

The news is positive for Raw programming, as they will get back one of the show’s top heels. This part of the roster has been headlined by Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt for the past month, including the former winning the opportunity to become the next contender to Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship.

As for Strowman’s plans, it looked like his feud was going to continue with Reigns before the injury. Will this still be the case, though? They could pair them for Great Balls of Fire or put them head-to-head at SummerSlam, potentially ending their long rivalry.

If not this, then the former Wyatt Family member makes sense for the Universal Championship scene. He confronted Lesnar on the Raw after WrestleMania 33 for the title, but nothing developed, since the Beast only returned to action on June 12. Could these two headline SummerSlam?

Whenever Strowman returns from injury, he should be a welcome addition to Raw. His direction will be in question for the time being, but given his pre-ailment success, there should be a spot for him on Monday nights.
