Aside from WrestleMania and maybe the Royal Rumble, there is no better PPV to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase than at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam’s main event was a chaotic one. John Cena vs. CM Punk to decide the undisputed WWE Champion with Triple H as guest referee. After an incredible match, to the surprise of everyone, Kevin Nash then came out to pummel CM Punk.

That was not the end of the night for CM Punk. Alberto Del Rio then came out to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

After a step up enzuigiri and a three count, Alberto Del Rio was the new undisputed WWE Champion.

So many events took place in such little time that fans had no idea what was going on in the WWE. Why was Kevin Nash out there? What role did Triple H play in this? How will CM Punk react? Where will John Cena fit into the title picture? How will Alberto Del Rio be as champion?

As a fan, you want to be surprised by the unexpected, and you want future storylines to remain unpredictable, and both were accomplished with Alberto Del Rio’s cash-in.

While the cash in was short, the impact made by Alberto Del Rio’s title victory was great.
