The King of Strong Style Battles the Lone Wolf

Last week, Kevin Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura battled in the main event of SmackDown Live. The two men put everything they had into the contest, delivering flurries of offense that left fans wondering who was going to win. In the end, the Kinshasa was enough for Nakamura to gain a major victory heading into Money in the Bank.

As a battered and beaten Nakamura went to celebrate the victory, Baron Corbin decided to leave the commentary table and make an impact. One End of Days left the King of Strong Style down and out on the mat. The episode ended with Corbin standing over his MiTB opponent, but now Nakamura has fully recovered. He’ll be looking for revenge in the worst way, and so a match between the two is something to look forward to.

Given that both men are in the middle of progressing their way up the card, neither superstar can afford to look weak. Because of this, WWE may opt to end this potential contest via a disqualification. Kevin Owens would be a logical choice to interfere in the proceedings, especially when you consider how Nakamura keeps defeating him. This would help to progress their feud, which one can assume will solely feature the two once MiTB concludes.

Considering that SummerSlam isn’t that far away, here’s a cool storyline which could happen. Now back in 2006, Shelton Benjamin put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Rob Van Dam’s MiTB briefcase. At Backlash of that year, RVD left the event as both Mr. MiTB and Intercontinental Champion. Fast forward to today, and Nakamura and Owens could produce a similar story. The question is, will they receive that opportunity?
