SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs. The New Day

Our New Day One is H!

Depending on which two members of New Day compete in this one, it has the potential to be a match of the night contender. The Usos are in the middle of one of the greatest runs of their careers, titles or not. And New Day is nothing if not exciting, and as the newest members of the SmackDown Live tag team division, they’re the hot new thing on Tuesdays.

For this championship match, it’s going to be a high-octane affair for sure. Both teams are no strangers to picking up the intensity. With a title match on pay-per-view, that dial is sure to be turned way up.

The New Day, being newcomers to SmackDown, are primed to try and make an impact in their new surroundings. But The Usos have been turning away challenger after challenger to their titles. American Alpha, Breezango – pick a team, no one has been able to hang with the new and improved Jimmy and Jey.

At Money in the Bank, my gut feeling tells me The Usos will retain. The New Day are still banking off their record run as tag champs over on Raw, so a SmackDown reign – while good for them – may be a ways down the road. And there’s still a lot more life in a championship run from The Usos.

(And not to mention that Fandango and Tyler Breeze should be the ones to take the titles from Jimmy and Jey.)
