Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens vs. Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Six of SmackDown Live’s top superstars will meet at Money in the Bank on Sunday with a chance to virtually guarantee themselves a WWE Championship reign. And these superstars are quite familiar with each other, so the action should be fast-paced and exciting throughout. Add ladders to the mix, and the recipe for a classic is right in front of us.

Smart money would be on someone unexpected to win the briefcase this year. Kevin Owens is in the midst of a United States Championship reign, so he’s likely out. His focus beyond Sunday should be on being the Face of America again. And AJ Styles still hasn’t settled his score with Owens, especially after their great match at Backlash ended somewhat unceremoniously.
The likelihood of Shinsuke Nakamura becoming Mr. Money in the Bank so soon after his debut isn’t out of the question, but it seems unlikely. He could use a little more time to connect with the SmackDown audience, as crazy as that sounds. Dolph Ziggler is a former winner who successfully cashed in, so a repeat benefits no one.
That leaves Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn as potential winners. Zayn makes his living as the underdog in every match he’s involved in, so Corbin makes the most sense as a victor. He’s been positioned to be SmackDown’s version of Braun Strowman in recent weeks – ruthless, vicious, and seemingly unstoppable. Thinking of Baron carrying the briefcase around is truly incredible.
