WWE SummerSlam 2017: Match Card Predictions After Money in the Bank

Roman Reigns will make an announcement for SummerSlam on Raw. This being for the WWE Intercontinental Championship would be surprising, as maybe it will be an opportunity for Braun Strowman to interfere and set something up for Great Balls of Fire.

After a match with Strowman, Reigns can turn toward one of the few titles he’s never won in the WWE: the Intercontinental Championship. SummerSlam would be the date for it.

As of this writing, The Miz holds this title. He’s in the midst of his seventh reign, having won it at Extreme Rules from Dean Ambrose. Miz can defeat Ambrose in a rematch at Great Balls of Fire, with Reigns vying for revenge for his friend at SummerSlam.

This feud is reminiscent to Reigns’ with Rusev from SummerSlam 2016. They battled for the United States Championship, which was one step down for the Big Dog after he returned from a real-life Wellness Policy suspension. While he hasn’t been suspended in 2017, given how WWE might save him for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34, having anything for him to do, in the meantime, to keep him busy, will work.
