WWE United States Championship Match
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura may be in line for something with Baron Corbin at Battleground, but at SummerSlam? Well, it makes too much sense to pair Nakamura with Kevin Owens for the United States Championship.

On SmackDown Live, the King of Strong Style defeated KO multiple times. This led to a one-on-one match, which the former won. So why wouldn’t he be in for a title shot, even if it’s waited on for a month, as business gets taken care of with Corbin?

Nakamura vs. Owens in a full-length match could be a lot of fun. They’re two of the most skilled wrestlers in the WWE, and if given 15-20 minutes, can put on an instant classic. The SmackDown match may have just been a tease for this.

A title change seems likely here, as Nakamura likely isn’t losing anytime soon. He won’t be perfect forever, but for the next few months, a build to the top should continue, with the U.S. Championship in hand.

An alternative for Owens is Sami Zayn, his long-time rival. These two can feud at any PPV, at any time, and put on something special.
