Some thought he would be returning to replace Shinsuke Nakamura after the series of tweets he sent out during the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

However, it turned out he was trolling us again for the umpteenth time.

With Rusev being cleared to return it should only be a matter of time before we see him back in a SmackDown Live ring and one can only hope that it leads to a WWE Championship opportunity. With Battleground being the last hump for SmackDown Live before SummerSlam I expect it to be a somewhat stacked pay per view.
