1.  Seth Rollins

Ok, so maybe I’m getting way ahead of myself here.  In Rollins, we’re talking about a 2-time WWE world champion and a main event caliber star for the past 3 years.  So for Cass to be able to feud with a guy like “The Architect”, he’ll need to go on a serious run and knock off some big names before stepping into the ring with a guy of Rollin’s pedigree.  But if Cass is the potential superstar that many in the WWE think he could be, then there is a very good chance that these two may meet up in the future.

So what I’ve realized since I started typing this article is that this isn’t  just 3 potential opponents for Cass, but it’s almost evolved into a blueprint for his future.  He can begin his singles run by closing the story with Enzo, get an impressive win over another giant in The Big Show, feud over a secondary title, and then move into more of a prominent, main event type program.  Waiting for him at nearly the top of the mountain could be Rollins.  Seems logical, right?

The WWE has been teasing a big run from Cass for a long time.  Heck, he made it into the fatal 4-way match for the vacant Universal title last August and had a pretty solid showing, even coming close to the victory several times.  Coincidentally that was the same match in which Rollins was cheated out of the belt by Triple H and his Pedigree.  If Cass was near that level a year ago, it it that far of a cry to see him back there sooner rather than later?  One thing is for certain, is that a Cass/Rollins feud could one day provide fireworks and be the litmus test that Cass needs to pass to be the next star.
