Highlights of the Division
Samoa Joe every week since Extreme Rules has shaped up to be the perfect challenger to Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. The man has knocked off two former world champions in a span of a few weeks and stood his ground in a brawl with the Beast. There is absolutely no guarantee that Joe could win the Universal Championship but he has been presented as the guy to beat in the main event scene.
With Braun Strowman returning from injury, the trilogy bout between him and Reigns will culminate in an ambulance match at Great Balls of Fire. The winner of this match will most likely face the Universal Champion at Summerslam. Braun will need this win as he’s been the most improved performer this year and legitimately can challenge the Universal Champion at Summerslam. Everybody has already seen Reigns face both Joe and Lesnar so it would seem reasonable to have a fresh face be inserted into the title picture.
The ongoing drama surrounding Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt is basically a clash of personalities and ideals. It’s the same repetitive stuff that Wyatt has spewed for years which has unfortunately made him predictable. With Seth being the poster boy of the new WWE 2K18 video game, maybe the WWE should angle this feud over Bray’s obsession of Rollins being a corporate propaganda tool. As long as there is a strong narrative to this story than it should benefit both men in the short-term.
