Moose Announces His Partner for Slammiversary

Before Moose can come out and announce his opponent, Eli Drake and Chris Adonis hit the ring first.  Adonis and Drake are curious with who his partner is and tease that it may be Bruce Prichard.  Adonis doesn’t even feel that Moose belongs in the same country as the two of them.  Moose comes to the ring for the verbal battle with Chris Adonis and Eli Drake.  He mentions that his partner in the locker room for Slammiversary.  Moose announces that D’Angelo Williams will be his partner as a video plays showing how he has been working on his craft.  Eli Drake and Chris Adonis attack Moose from behind and drape his Impact Grand Championship over him.

EC3 and Lashley vs James Storm and Alberto El Patron

Result: El Patron and Storm def. EC3 and Lashley via disqualification

It looks like EC3 and James Storm will start the match but EC3 opts out of that encounter.  Lashley takes control of Storm but Storm fights back allowing El Patron to get back into the match.  As the match progresses, Lashley takes control of the match for his team.  El Patron finally gets James Storm back into the match and Storm’s momentum gives them a chance to regain control.

Storm tries to gain redemption by using the strap on EC3 but Lashley attacks from behind.  EC3 slaps Lashley to get back into the match much to the chagrin of the Impact World Champion.  This seemed to put a halt on what was built by their team.  Alberto El Patron comes into the match fast and furiously but no edge is safe in this match.  EC3 goes for the leather strap and once again attacks Brian Stiffler.  After the match, the two matches at Slammiversary take shape as the four men battle until the show goes off the air.

This main event had Slammiversary written all over it.  It was a star-studded match that didn’t give too much away about the pay-per-view.  The match was impressive but there was nothing overwhelming in the match.  I would rank it as solid and a way to get fans excited about Slammiversary.
