This one should not come as a surprise. AJ Styles and Kevin Owens have been in a feud ever since Styles won a #1 contender match to face Owens for the belt at Backlash.
After losing to Kevin Owens by count out at Backlash, AJ Styles isn’t through with Kevin Owens. Although their feud was put off for the Money in the Bank ladder match, Styles is coming back for Kevin Owens’ title.

He attempted to answer KO’s United States Championship Open Challenge, but Owens would not allow him to since Owens had already beat Styles. Styles then went to Daniel Bryan and Bryan ended up making this Independence Day Battle Royal.
So, seeing as this Battle Royal was made for AJ Styles, and AJ Styles is the only known participant in the match, and AJ Styles is currently in a feud with the United States Champion, all signs point towards the Phenomenal One being the last one standing come the 4th of July.
Perhaps the win will go to someone else, and WWE will wait until the big SummerSlam PPV for the blowoff match between these two, but all signs point towards AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens at Battleground.
