Roman Reigns has issued a challenge for SummerSlam to the winner of the Universal Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. Is that the right move?

When word came out that Brock Lesnar would be defending his Universal Championship at WWE Great Balls of Fire, a No. 1 contender needed to be decided for this PPV. So, Kurt Angle put five of the best performers: Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt in a fatal-5-way match to decide who would be the No. 1 contender.

Samoa Joe ended up choking out Finn in order to win the match and win the right to face Brock Lesnar this Saturday at the RAW exclusive PPV, Great Balls of Fire.

To figure out who the winner of that match would face at SummerSlam, there were no matches or feuds. There was only a statement by the Big Dog.

Roman Reigns went out on RAW and declared that he would face either Samoa Joe or Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam for the WWE Universal Championship, and it appeared that he has got his wish as WWE posted it on their website and app for the SummerSlam card.

That was until the Monster Among Men made a triumphant return to the ring. Strowman went on to challenge Reigns to an ambulance match at Great Balls of Fire, and this match could determine who will go on to main event SummerSlam alongside either Samoa Joe or Brock Lesnar.

No matter who he is facing, Roman Reigns should to be contending for the Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam.
