Predicting the winners and losers on Sunday’s WWE Great Ball of Fire pay per view.
Let’s get one prediction out of the way before we go any further. I predict that Great Balls of Fire will eventually go down as the worst name for a WWE pay per view of all time. Bragging Rights, Over The Limit, and December To Dismember were all pretty bad but come on, Great Balls of Fire? What does that even mean? It doesn’t even have a combative-like overtone. For instance, In Your House: Season’s Beatings was a pretty bad name. But at least the connotation that it was a pro wrestling show was there. Great Balls of Fire could really mean anything and as such, should’ve been scrapped the minute what ever creative genius thought it up. But anyways.
On to the show. Great Balls of Fire will be host to a match that really is a fantasy booking dream. Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe have been battering opponents senseless for well over a decade each and now that their match is a reality, the entire wrestling world should be keeping an eye on this one. It represents two of the most violent destroyers of our time and is a can’t miss type of match.
Outside of that, there will be 4 title matches along with 3 grudge matches. So outside of that silly name, Great Balls of Fire has a chance to be pretty good and could buck the trend of what has been some pretty sub-par pay per views over the past few months. Here’s hoping that GBOF turns things around.
Ahead we predict the winners and losers for this Sunday’s show.
