Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt

Of the entire card, this match is unquestionably the biggest toss-up but for all the wrong reasons.  For two guys as great as Rollins and Wyatt, especially while both in their prime, their recent programs have been running on empty, this one included.  It’s been a very typical Wyatt-like feud, with “The Eater of Worlds” interrupting Rollins promos on the Titantron and spouting off about paradoxical things and what he feels the future beholds.  A lot of talk, not a ton of action.

Both men’s current situation is a far-cry from their better days.  Heck, it was only 5 months ago that Wyatt was a world champion before losing the belt to Randy Orton at Wrestlemania only so “The Viper” could go lose it to Jinder Mahal.  That’s right, Jinder Mahal.  And for Rollins, we’re talking about a guy that not for a terrible knee injury may have been a calendar year long champion in 2015 and 2016.  The fact that these two are competing at Great Balls of Fire in a stale feud is a microcosm of all that is wrong with the booking end of the WWE.

So since this feud doesn’t really seem to mean all that much, the winner of this match will most likely be the guy that needs a victory right now.  Now despite being out of the title picture for a little while, Rollins is still pretty over with the fans.  He gets a pop every time his music hits and his promos always seem to have a lot of fan support behind them.  Wyatt, however, is in a very dangerous territory of falling completely out of the lime light and if things don’t change soon, he may flame out completely.  Wyatt needs this one and I think he’ll get it.

Winner: Bray Wyatt
