1. WWE Universal Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Samoa Joe

That brings us to the last match of the night and the most unpredictable. Brock Lesnar, in his first title defense of the Universal Championship, might very well lose it. The Beast, the marquee guy, the biggest draw on WWE’s current roster, he might pass out to the Coquina Clutch. What a star that would make out of Joe, who in fairness, doesn’t have a whole lot of time left. If they want to strap a rocket to Joe’s back, this is a powerful way to do it.

Lesnar is also a part-timer, meaning the company’s biggest belt is rarely seen on free TV. He’s expensive and WWE could be eager to return the belt to one of their next top guys. On the other side of the equation, you have the fact that it’s Brock Lesnar. The Beast, the marquee guy, the biggest draw on WWE’s current roster. How do you tell him to go out there and tap out to Joe?

There are compelling arguments for both sides, and of those who believe strongly one way or another, it seems like they are 100% sure. That splits this match down the middle, a 50/50 chance Lesnar retains or Joe walks away with his first main roster championship. Joe’s work in the build to this has been nothing short of excellence, and while that may get him extra credit in our book, WWE just doesn’t operate on the brownie point system.

There’s also SummerSlam to think about, a card that inevitably will have something big to headline. Will that be Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns, or any other combination of Raw’s stacked main event? Chances are, one of these two men is going to close out the second biggest show of the year. For once, WWE actually has us at the edge of our seats about it.
