AJ Styles & John Cena vs Kevin Owens and Rusev

Result: AJ Styles and John Cena win via pinfall

Rating: 4.25 out of 5 stars

Right before the main event of tonight’s show, another episode of the Fashion Files aired. During this installment, Breezango (dressed as cowboys) had a discussion with the Hype Bros. Wondering if they were responsible for the destruction of their office, Fandango and Tyler Breeze questioned the duo. While Mojo Rawley denied the claim, Zack Ryder wondered if he was to blame considering that Mojo eliminated him from the battle royal last week. Telling his partner he wasn’t the culprit, he advised that they pay not further attention to the investigation, ending the segment….for now.

Now, the time has come to examine the final match of the evening. Stemming from the altercation that began the show, AJ Styles and John Cena teamed up against Kevin Owens and Rusev. As an added bonus, this marks the first time that Cena has competed inside a WWE ring since WrestleMania 33 (at least on television). Throughout the contest, all four men were given a chance to shine and showcase their talents inside of the ring. When the time came for the closing finish, the quick succession of moves left fans in doubt over who was going to win. On this night though, Cena and Styles picked up the win when Cena hit the AA on Owens for the victory.

Celebrating their victory, AJ Styles and John Cena raised their arms and were sure to put focus on the United States Championship. Based upon that interaction, we may see these two compete for the title in the near future. That in it of itself is a very interesting prospect.
