The SmackDown Live Tag Team Division

Highlights of the Division

Xavier Woods quickly defeated Jey Uso in a singles match which was the only action seen in this division on Smackdown. It clearly looks more and more like the New Day has all the momentum in winning the Smackdown Tag Team Titles at Battleground. It wouldn’t be such a bad thing since the Usos have run roughshod over the division the past few months. If the New Day does win the gold, it’ll give the rest of the division fresh new match ups and opportunities to go after the new champs.

The conspiracy with the destruction of the Fashion Police’s office continued on Smackdown Live. Breezango confronted the Hype Bros backstage over the incident but the former NXT tag team brushed off the assertion immediately. With teams like the Ascension, the Colons and the Hype Bros all saying they weren’t involved in the incident—it makes you wonder who could it be?

The obvious answer would be American Alpha and also there have been theories floating around that it might be the Singh Brothers. Both teams could definitely benefit from where they are currently situated at. American Alpha as a team has disappeared for months now and now we’ve been graced with sightings of Chad Gable the past few weeks. As for the Singh Brothers, it could be a matter of time till they set their own agenda aside from their duties of helping the WWE Champion.

Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
