Which WWE WrestleMania from the past two years was more disappointing?

WrestleMania is supposed to be the biggest and most important show of the calendar year for WWE. It’s meant to be the culmination of the previous year’s storylines and showcase the most important matches.

The ‘WrestleMania’ name is so synonymous with wrestling that it has even been referenced in wider pop culture. In fact, many people that don’t watch WWE regularly will watch WrestleMania just to see what happens.

There is, unfortunately, a reason why so many people watch during WrestleMania season and tune out once it ends: WrestleMania has been a major point of controversy over the past few years.

As far back as WrestleMania XXX, there has been just as much discussion and media attention on backstage decisions and fan revolt as there has been on the show itself. A lot of media attention was put on Daniel Bryan’s main event ascent and his fans hijacking one show after another.

Even more criticism and high-profile negative attention has followed Roman Reigns for the past three years, especially at WrestleMania. The backstage decisions surrounding WrestleMania have been so contentious that WrestleMania is losing its position as the most interesting show of the year. In fact, WrestleMania 32 was voted the Worst Major Show of 2016 for a plethora of reasons.

WrestleMania 33 wasn’t that much better. Like its predecessor from the year prior, it was an exhaustingly-long show, capping off at around seven hours from the opening match to the closing moments. It too suffered from questionable booking decisions and widespread fan disappointment.

So the question is, which of the two WrestleManias was worse?
