Fatal Five-Way Elimination Match for No. 1 Contender Spot
Tamina vs. Becky Lynch vs. Lana vs. Charlotte vs. Natalya

For the co-main event of the evening we will get the women’s Fatal Five-Way Elimination Match.

Why? By putting this match as the co-main event it helps make the Women’s Championship that much more important.

However, I’m pretty sure most fans are tired of the continuous “let’s put every woman on the roster in one match” gimmick, but here we are.

It’s a bummer that Naomi will not be defending her title on this card, because it’s always fun to have the idea in the back of your mind of Carmella cashing in her contract on her during the evening.

The WWE tried to continue this feud with another all-out brawl on the go-home Smackdown! Live show, but I’ll be honest—I fast-forwarded right through it.

Side bar: That’s something the WWE really needs to work on and it is so freakin’ sloppy: Their go-home shows. They’re so rushed and you can feel that they wrote this show on a plane ride to the area in which the show is taking place.

But hey, a No. 1 contender match as the co-main event is not necessarily a bad thing and these women will do a nice job putting on an athletic clinic even with the lack of story to this “feud.”

This is a great spot to turn Charlotte heel and have her win the match setting up for Charlotte and Naomi at SummerSlam.

Now that has the potential to be a hell of a feud.
