The SmackDown Live Tag Team Division
Highlights of the Division
Jimmy Uso scored a win over Kofi Kingston but it won’t be enough at Battleground this Sunday. The Usos have held the tag titles since mid-March and have cleaned out the division. It’s about time to have the New Day hold on to the gold and freshen up the championship picture before it gets stale. The reigning champs have completely held their own and reinvented their characters that they necessarily don’t need the gold to stay competitive in the tag team division.
The conspiracy surrounding Breezango and their trashed office and belongings will be addressed on Battleground. Many theories have been floating around that it might have been American Alpha but after Monday night that idea should be squashed. It could be the Colons, the Singh Brothers or the Ascension? Another theory floating around might be the return of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. If that’s the case then that would be fantastic. Both men shouldn’t have split in the first place and could give them an opportunity to run roughshod over the division.
The disconnect between Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder will need to be addressed very soon. Since his return from injury, Zack Ryder hasn’t accomplished the only goal he set out to do and that was to win tag team gold. Asking Mojo Rawley to halt his solo career to join him on this title hunt made sense at first but now both men haven’t done anything since. It could lead to two things, either a break-up or doubling down their effort to capture the Smackdown Tag Team Championships.
Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
