WWE SmackDown: 5 Potential Feuds for Chad Gable

It looks like Rusev will be sticking with his “evil foreigner” gimmick moving forward on SmackDown Live. That was proven by the start of his feud with John Cena.
John Cena is and always be a big “Go USA!” kind of guy for the WWE, and Cena is always proud of his country, which makes him a face. On the other hand, Rusev is not from the USA but is still very proud of his country, but since his country isn’t the United States, he is the heel in the feud.
Anyway, these types of feuds are often very shallow, as in there isn’t enough character depth to build a personal feud. So, two Superstars, like Cena and Rusev, can have a heated feud that the crowd can get into without really worrying about the personalities of the wrestlers.
This is a perfect starting feud for Chad Gable because he does not really have his own individual character yet. So, he can use this to get involved in a midcard feud while developing his character.
Chad Gable also fits the bill for the “Go USA!” babyface. He is a small guy facing adversity in the form of the Bulgarian Brute, a good wrestler with a better work ethic, and he was even apart of USA’s Olympic team for wrestling back in 2012.
While Gable may not be able to advance up the card with this feud (odds are that Rusev would win), Gable can still continue to improve his character and make a name for himself. He can do this while helping Rusev regain his aura of a monster heel that deserves to be in the main event picture.
