4 Predictions for WWE Raw: July 24, 2017

A Stacked SummerSlam Main Event
At Great Balls of Fire, Brock Lesnar managed to successfully defend the Universal Championship against Samoa Joe. Upon the conclusion of that event, it appeared as though the Beast was set for another showdown with Roman Reigns. The Big Dog had been named number one contender prior to GBoF, with the encounter slated for SummerSlam. However, the actions committed by Reigns during his ambulance match versus Braun Strowman put that plan on hold.
Still keen to face Lesnar, Reigns interrupted the Universal Champion two weeks ago to declare his intentions to fight for the gold. This announcement brought out Samoa Joe, who felt that he had unfinished business with Lesnar. To settle the dispute, General Manager Kurt Angle had the two men face one another last week. Whoever won that match was supposed to become number one contender, but then another complication came into the mix.
Returning to the Flagship Show, Braun Strowman laid waste to both Joe and Reigns during their match. Standing tall above the best Raw has to offer, his dominance may have granted him a far greater opportunity than he intended to receive. Rather than face Reigns yet again, he could be inserted into the SummerSlam title match. He likely wouldn’t enter the contest alone though, as Joe and the Big Dog also have the right to entry given recent events.
Should this come to be, the Beast will have a great challenge ahead of him. Battling one of these superstars is bad enough, let alone all three at once. Worst of all, he wouldn’t even have to be pinned or submitted to lose the gold. Seeing as how his last title reign came to an end in a multi-man match, you can bet he won’t be happy in the slightest.
