A Major Victory for the Heel Trio

Over the past several weeks, WWE has teased a reunion of sorts between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Experiencing a common enemy in the form of The Miz and his Miztourage, Rollins tried to convince the Lunatic Fringe to form an alliance. Wisely drawing upon the previous history between them, Ambrose at first refused the offer. According to him, he’d already been betrayed once by Rollins, whom at one time he considered a brother.

Thankfully, Ambrose eventually realized that taking care of the Miztourage is more important than previous grudges. It might take the Lunatic Fringe more time to get over what transpired between the two, but this is a big step in the right direction. With Roman Reigns on the Flagship Show as well, can a Shield reunion be in the works?

Before that question can even be presented, it’s pivotal that Ambrose and Rollins prove that they can still perform cohesively at the level they once did. However, the time for them to do so isn’t here tonight. Due to the unstable partnership that’s currently at work, these two shouldn’t be able to beat the Miztourage. Although they are tough competitors, the Lunatic Fringe and the Architect are facing two tough obstacles.

First and foremost, the former Shield members haven’t teamed together in over three years. Since their time together, the WWE landscape has changed drastically. Also, the numbers game is against them, making the chances of success even slimmer. They will eventually overcome the Miztourage, however, I’d put money on it occurring at SummerSlam. Until then, expect the heel trio to dominate Raw.
