Charting the Pathway for Dean Ambrose on WWE Raw
A year back, Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns in a triple threat match at Battleground to take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to SmackDown Live.
It has been a downfall for Dean Ambrose from main eventing SummerSlam last year to be on Wrestlemania 33 Pre-Show. Currently, he is struck in a storyline involving Miztourage & Seth Rollins, which seems to be doing no good to him but rather becoming a teaser for Shield reunion.
As of now, the Big Dog is part of the Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Universal Championship at Summerslam, and it’s very likely that Reigns could be walking out at next WWE Universal Champion. So a Shield Reunion looks far fetched dream at least until Survivor Series.
For a man who was supposed to be the breakout star from Shield splits, he has been pretty static since. Though not to say he has won Money in the Bank, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship & Intercontinental Championship. But, somehow, that momentum has always halted.
However, it should be noted he is just 31-years-old & still has good 5-6 years of pro-wrestling career left in him. So how does WWE make him shine amidst Bray Wyatt, Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe & his former Shield Brothers?
First thing, give Ambrose the mic time. The Lunatic Fringe is absolute gold on the mic, in fact, there are very few talkers who could match his Charisma as far as promos are concerned. His in-ring skills are second to none. His craziness in the ring & devil may care attitude has what won him his fan base right from his days in the independence circuit.
One way to ensure that will be turning him heel. Though Ambrose has not been too keen to team up with Rollins But going ahead he probably will agree & could team up with Rollins in a losing cause. It could be that Rollins causes him the match & frustrated by a recent run of the event, Ambrose turns on Rollins.
Following that, we could see series of classics between both competitors. A Street fight, Hell in a Cell, TLC options are unlimited. Backed by some mic time he could arouse the same interest in the fan as he did before. WWE won’t be deaf to its universe voice. With some fine performance in Survivor Series & doing some tough spot at TLC to follow. He could gain plenty of momentum going into Royal Rumble.
In fact, Ambrose could book be among last two men standing at Royal Rumble. Though the main event spot seems unlikely at this stage but competing & winning for Intercontinental Champions at Wrestlemania will definitely be a bright spot at Wrestlemania 34. Given his recent work, that perfect time for him to be a babyface.
Now, carrying an unbridled crowd support & lots of momentum from Ambrose’s previous encounters. This will be the perfect time for him to be inserted into main event scene again.
Ambrose has got all the tools to put up a show against anyone from Finn Balor to Braun Strowman. A Strowman vs Ambrose can always be pitched as David vs Goliath, similar to his match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32. A potential feud with Bray Wyatt, this time around for championship, will be a treat to WWE Universe.

Thus given his previous work in indies & his current work in WWE till now. Ambrose certainly can do better than the position he is in now.
