Lashley Calls out Bruce Prichard

Lashley addresses his concerns about the pecking ordering since the new regime took over in Impact Wrestling.  He plans to make his own match since Bruce Prichard didn’t respond to him last week.  Lashley calls out Prichard so that he can announce the main event at Destination X.  Prichard feels like he addressed this situation last week but Matt Sydal interrupts Lashley.  Matt Sydal claims that he will not be ignored like last week.  Lashley pushes him down and goes for the spear but Sydal catches him with a knee.  He follows up with his signature Shooting Star Press as Bruce Prichard walks away without addressing really anything.

First Round Match in the Super X Cup
Davey Richards vs Taiji Ishimori

Result: Ishimori def. Richards via pinfall

The audience is introduced to Davey Richards and Ishimori.  Richards states his desire to be the best in the X-Division but shows his respect for the Japanese style of wrestling.  Ishimori’s goal is to beat Richards and advance to the next round.  Richards presents an aggressive style early in this match but Taiji Ishimori isn’t backing down.  Ishimori gains control with his speed and fakes out everyone on a suicide dive attempt.

Davey Richards grabs a chair which was taken from him but still allowed him to gain control.  He uses his submission skills to weaken the body of Ishimori.  Ishimori adopting some of the lucha libre style in this match to find his second wind.  As the two start to battle back and forth, Richards flows into a phenomenal ankle reversal.  Richards looks to end the match with the double foot stomp but Ishimori continues to show his defensive skill with reversals.  Ishimori wins the match with a 450 splash to advance in the Super X Cup.

Bruce Prichard announces that Matt Sydal and Lashley will face off for the right to have their desired championship match.
