4. Chad Gable

The other half of American Alpha, Chad Gable, is still on Smackdown Live.

Gable put on a phenomenal match, pun intended, against AJ Styles a couple of weeks ago. (The match featured above.) The pair were battling to see who would gain entry into the number one contender’s battle royal for the United States Championship.

Styles would win the match. Even though he lost, Gable impressed WWE officials so much, that they plan on pushing him. Probably into a feud with AJ Styles, who is the current U.S. Champ, for said belt.

The pair has already proven they have great in-ring chemistry together. WWE should have no problem putting these two in a feud with each other. Gable would be the perfect guy to defeat Styles for the belt as well.

Beating Styles would give Gable the credibility to have a lengthy title run, and it wouldn’t hurt Styles stock in WWE either. Plus, it would allow Styles to go back to where he belongs, at the top of the card.

Gable could be a true mid-card champion. Always putting on great matches, and taking on all comers, he would allow other mid-card talents their time to shine.

The United States Championship is Smackdown’s mid-card title and should be held and competed for by other mid card guys. It’s supposed to be used to elevate guys into the main event and to challenge for the WWE Championship.
