4. A Reigns Win Sets Up a Brock Lesnar Rematch at WrestleMania 34
Not too long after WrestleMania 33 ended Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar was scheduled to be the main event of WrestleMania 34. While we’ve already seen that match, at WrestleMania 31, Lesnar dominated most of the match. Until Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract mid-match to walk pin Roman Reigns and walk out as champ.
Seeing a rematch would be interesting. Reigns was a relative newcomer to singles competition at WrestleMania 31, and because of that didn’t get much offense in throughout the match. Now, however, with more experience under his belt, Reigns would be more dangerous. And the match would be more entertaining, and a much better contest between the two.
Lesnar has said that if he loses this match at SummerSlam, he’ll leave WWE. And he is reportedly training to get back into the octagon. I don’t think Vince will let him walk without one more WrestleMania match. Although do any of us want another “going away” Lesnar match? We all know how well the last one turned out.
