The Smackdown Live Tag Team Division

Highlights of the Division

The Usos picked up a decent win over the team of Sami Zayn and Tye Dillinger on Smackdown. The former Smackdown Tag Team Champions have shown a little bit more growth to their characters by adding a bit of comedy to their mic skills. The fans have definitely gravitated towards the Samoan twins and it could be time for them to turn back into crowd favorites. That will honestly depend on what transpires in their championship showdown with the New Day at Summerslam.

The New Day demonstrated their vicious side to the Usos after the Samoan brothers won their tag team match. It seemed fitting that the reigning tag team champions would pull the same shenanigans their Summerslam counterparts did a few weeks ago. Could it also be a sign that the New Day might be wrapping up their babyface run at Summerslam? It wouldn’t be surprising and it could refresh the tag team division if both the Usos and the New Day swap their personas in this championship rivalry. Who knows?

In another installment of Breezango’s backstage segments, Fandango finally reunited with his tag team partner Tyler Breeze. No details have emerged on who has been attacking this tag team. The theories of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan reunited and attacking Breezango have been floating around for weeks but still no clues. Same could be said for the Ascension, the Colons and the Hype Bros. Any of these four teams are in dying need of getting some exposure since they have been sitting on the sidelines for more than a month now.

Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
