Singles Match: Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt
So as much as the tag team title program has fascinated the WWE fans on RAW, the Balor/Wyatt feud has most likely frustrated them the same. Seen as two of the best characters on WWE programming “The Eater of Worlds” and “The Demon King”‘s program has been mediocre at best over the past month. The problem is that, like some of the other programs going right now, there has been virtually nothing original about it. It’s run the basic formula for any Wyatt feud. Bray acquires a target, composes a series of vignettes for the titantron, lights go off and he’s in the ring, a few random attacks between the two parties and we end up with a blow off match at a pay per view which made Wyatt statistically wins. He’s 12-7 in singles matches at pay per views and he also captured a world title in an elimination chamber at another.
The vast difference to this feud though, in my opinion, will be the outcome as Bray’s impressive pay per view record will endure a loss. Balor looks due for big business this fall and although his luster has diminished a bit lately, he still has the most potential as the company’s top baby face. Plus, once again the match was already given away for free on the last episode of RAW which was a Bray victory, so I highly doubt a guy like Finn would lose two in a row like that. “The Demon King” costume has already been alluded to so expect that and also expect a Balor victory. Hopefully, this stale feud will at least end with a barn burner of a match.
Winner: Finn Balor
