5 Ways WWE SummerSlam Can Shape WrestleMania 34

3. Sasha Banks Shows Up Bayley and Turns Heel
Sasha Banks deserves a run with the Raw Women’s Championship that is worthy of her impact and influence on the women’s division. Given that she’s the shortest reigning Women’s Champ, she should also be the longest reigning. This may not have been the original plan, but WWE should capitalize on Bayley being out on injury. If the story is built well, Bayley can regain her sympathy with the fans through this injury as long as her best friend, Banks, turns on her without her even being there.
Typically a heel turn on a best friend looks like Paige pulling on AJ Lee’s hair and giving her a beating. We’ve seen that a lot over the past few months, 2017 was the year that friendship died. So instead of doing an all-out betrayal, Banks can turn heel in a more subtle but possibly more hurtful way. The history behind these two is so deep that it only takes a few harsh words earlier in the show to sow those seeds.
They can put Bayley in the front row of this match and when Sasha defeats Bliss, she rubs it in her face. Bayley’s legit injured, so we don’t want her jumping over the barricade and getting herself hurt. Instead, Banks can come over, hold the belt up high and when Bayley is not so keen on celebrating what should’ve been her moment, Banks can slap her across the face. Bayley lunges for her but is held back by her fiancé or one of her NXT buddies. When Bayley gets healthy, we can go full steam ahead for Sasha Banks vs. Bayley at WrestleMania.
