After months of speculation, Adam Cole finally appeared on WWE programming Saturday night at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III.
The rumors have been circulating for months and they’ve now been officially confirmed. 3-time Ring of Honor champion, Adam Cole, has finally shown up in the WWE. In attendance for TakeOver: Brooklyn III, “The Panama City Playboy” seems to be as good as signed by the company and what a major acquisition it is. Not only does Cole have the ROH accolades, he’s also held titles in 15 different other independent organizations. And at just 28 years old, Cole seems poised for big things.
The main event of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III saw Drew McIntyre defeat Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship. He celebrated for about one minute, until the crowd went ballistic as Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish appeared on the ring apron. This distracted McIntyre, enough for Cole to fly in and take down the new NXT Champion. The three former ROH stars stood tall to end TakeOver: Brooklyn III.
This wild moment can be seen below:

Cole comes to NXT entering a jam packed world title scene. With superstars like Bobby Roode, Drew McIntyre, Aleister Black, Hideo Itami, Roderick Strong, and Kassius Ohno, all near or at the top of the division, “The One” certainly will be facing the toughest competition if his career. But with Cole’s acumen, it shouldn’t take long for him to spring to the top.
Judging by this potential stable and attack on McIntyre, Cole may already be at the head of the roster. He’s made his mark with just 20-30 seconds on WWE programming, and will seemingly join NXT for the foreseeable future.
