4. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler is finally back on WWE television. After disappearing from SmackDown Live since the Money in the Bank PPV, Ziggler finally made his triumphant return in a backstage interview.

The interview certainly was interesting because it appears that Ziggler is either getting repackaged or is simply making a joke out of the rumors that he would get repackaged.

Ziggler said how the key to succeeding in WWE is having a beautiful escort, a robe, catchy theme music, singing, lasers, and any other unneeded character trait all combined into one gimmick. Ziggler said he would be debuting all of this next week on SmackDown Live.

Regardless of whether this will become Ziggler’s new character or if he is just mocking the fans using his same heel persona, it at least seems like the start of a decent push for Ziggler.

He could certainly be the one to accept AJ Styles’ first United States Championship Open Challenge, or he could go into a program with someone else on the roster.

After being away from TV for a while, WWE should build up Ziggler’s credibility once again by having him win a program with a midcard face like Sami Zayn or Tye Dillinger. Then Ziggler could be a credible threat and could work a program with Styles if his new character works out.

Or, WWE may be high on Ziggler’s recent character work and constant impressiveness in the ring and could throw him right into a feud with Styles. I mean, The Showoff does already have one win over Styles.
