WWE Survivor Series 2017: Possible Champion vs. Champion Match?

WWE Survivor Series was focused on brand warfare last year, so is it possible that  one Smackdown Live’s champions could go up against one of RAW’s champions?

Last year, WWE Survivor Series had the divisions of each brand square off in tag team elimination matches. This year, it seems like the show will be focused on storylines more exclusive to each brand.

However, there does appear to be one interbrand match up that looks to be in its beginning stages in a build to Survivor Series. That matchup would be the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, The Usos, vs. the RAW Tag Team Champions, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

After a reunited Rollins and Ambrose won the RAW tag team championships from Sheamus and Cesaro, WWE put out a poll asking which team would be able to dethrone the new champions. The Usos were quick to respond with this tweet.

Following that tweet, Seth Rollins had some words for the SmackDown Tag Team Champions at a house show. Rollins said ” Usos, you know who the real champs are, and we’re on RAW, baby!”

However, The Usos were not to be outdone and had some choice words for Rollins and Ambrose at their house show. They responded with, “Seth! Dean! Y’all may be the best tag team champs on RAW, but we the best tag team, period! You know where to find us: SmackDown!”

While this appears to just be two teams having fun at each other’s expense, the “feud” has actually made its way onto WWE television. On RAW, announcers noted that Rollins and Dean Ambrose have had twitter beef with The Usos, which is usually a sign that it could eventually play into a storyline.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose look like they are continuing their feud with Sheamus and Cesaro for right now, and The Usos still owe The New Day a rematch after beating them for the titles at SummerSlam.

So, by the time each of these teams finish up their respective programs, Survivor Series will be right around the corner, which is the next PPV that will have both brands on the show. If both teams are still champs by then, it is very possible that we could see The Usos take on two thirds of The Shield at Survivor Series.

The last time we saw a champion vs. champion match was when United States Champion Kevin Owens took on Intercontinental Champion Deam Ambrose on an episode of RAW in April during the Superstar Shakeup.

Would you like to see a champion vs. champion match again at Survivor Series? Do you think The Usos and Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will both still be champions once Survivor Series rolls around?
