Heavy Machinery vs. Local Talent

Result: Heavy Machinery defeats Local Talent by pinfall

This was a standard old school squash match.  This is basically used to make Heavy Machinery look great as they try and right themselves on the path to the NXT Tag Titles.  Very little offense by the local duo.  Nothing too much more to break down as the match was over quick.

Roderick Strong vs. Bobby Roode

Result: Roderick Strong defeats Bobby Roode by pinfall

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

In the episode’s main event Roderick Strong would go toe to toe with Bobby Roode.  As mentioned before the match was set prior to SummerSlam and Roode’s promotion to the main roster.  Both men tore the house down in a great back and forth battle.  Roddy would waste no time digging into his bag of back breakers.

Roode himself thought was doing everything possible to prove a point to Roddy.  Roode would begin to unleash his own set of back breakers mixed in with some trash talking.  The final sequence would see Roddy escape a Glorious DDT, 3 high knees to Roode’s jaw and a pair of lethal back breakers would spell the end for Roode.

As Roddy is sitting in the corner absorbing his win, Mcintyre makes his way to the ramp.  It is clear that Roddy vs. Drew is the next title program.  But that isn’t the end of the show. Out of nowhere, Cole, Fish, and O’Reilly jump McIntyre, with Cole nailing a DDT onto the stage.
