5. Apollo Crews

Crews’s position at number five is in no ways a representation of his level of talent. It is merely an indicator of how little he has connected with the audience. The explosive superstar, who was called up way too soon from NXT, has had very little character progression. Crews is an athletic babyface who always smiles. He has charisma but fails to bring it to the TV screen. When he was paired with Titus O’Neil on WWE Raw, it seemed too random at first. However, as time went by, I have been getting used to this alliance.

The whole Titus Brand angle has been entertaining at times. If you haven’t seen the press conference skits involving these guys, you should go back and check them. Even Tozawa is funny in those.

Crews already has some history with Miz. The two have been in the ring in the past with the title on the line. However, never has this happened since the inception of the Titus Brand. Aligning with O’Neil provided Tozawa with a reign as the Cruiserweight champion. So far, the only thing Crews got would be a beating by Braun Strowman.

Perhaps, now would be a good time have the Titus Brand work its wonder on Crews. It doesn’t matter if he wins the title cleanly or not. I would love to see the Miz lose the title to him by way of underhand tactics from Titus O’Neil. If creative could follow it up with Crews eventually becoming a cocky overconfident heel, then double credits would be due. One thing is for sure though, Crews would hang in the ring with the Miz pretty well indeed.
