3. Neville
Neville has never been in a better position in the WWE than he is now.
It appears as though Neville is the only superstar to actually benefit from the addition of the Cruiserweight Division and 205 Live. When the division was first introduced, people were stunned that Neville, who had no creative plans at the time was not part of the division.
Neville capitalized on everyone overlooking him and used that to fuel his new heel persona. Neville has now claimed himself to be the King of the Cruiserweights, and quite frankly, he is right. Neville is the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion and is also the only one to hold the belt twice.
Even though Neville can get it done in the ring at a high level, it is his gimmick that has made him stand out from the rest. As King of the Cruiserweights, Neville acts as though no one could possibly be on his “Neville Level” and looks down upon all of his challengers and the fans for disrespecting him.
Neville’s transformation has made him the center of 205 Live, and it is getting to the point where 205 Live has become a ceiling that Neville is ready to bust through. Neville is one of the most entertaining characters in WWE now that his character actually has depth, and very little can do what he does in the ring.
It is only a matter of time until the King of the Cruiserweights becomes the King of the WWE.
